I thought there were several playful jokes actually, but this was the one that made me laugh out loud. Having seen Richard Wiseman perform, I suspect this goes with his sense of humour. Glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed!

After reading that exact passage I had to Google and see who else noticed. At least with the search string “quirkology untesticle”, very few results are returned. For what it’s worth I agree that it’s probably a playful joke included for those who noticed.
